Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a water absorption member and a steam generator using it which enables to obtain a desired water absorption function immediately after water is supplied even if it is dried completely.
CONSTITUTION: A water absorption member 3 is composed of a surface layer 31 which has a higher heat resistance and other layer 32 which has higher water absorption capability than the surface layer 31. Even if the water absorption capability of the surface layer 31 which has a higher heat resistance is decreased, the other layer 32 which has higher water absorption capability absorbs water and sends it to the surface layer 31, so water supply through the absorption member 3 does not stop, or water supply rate is not decreased.
