Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of sealing failure as much as possible, by surely applying water to a rewet paste part of envelope paper, with durability, without requiring labor and cost.SOLUTION: A water application device comprises a water storage vessel 31 for storing water W, a water application roller 32 for providing a water absorption member 32a in a roll shape on an outer peripheral surface, installing at least a part of the water absorption member 32a in a position soaked in the water W stored in the water storage vessel 31 and sucking up the water W in the water storage vessel 31, a rotary mechanism part 33 for rotating the water application roller 32 with every predetermined angle, and a water application mechanism part 34 for retreating a rewet paste part from the water application roller 32 thereafter by applying the water W to the rewet paste part by pressing the rewet paste part to the water application roller 32 when the rewet paste part of envelope paper PE reaches a water application position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
