PURPOSE: To enhance the performance of a water barrier wall by excavating a ditch underground and pouring muddy water into the ditch and filling up the ditch with a water barrier material having a specific composition after having excavated the ditch and replacing the muddy water with the water barrier material.
CONSTITUTION: A wall-shaped ditch is excavated and the ditch is filled up with bentonite muddy water so as to protect a wall surface from falling down into the ditch. A water barrier material is placed into the ditch, thereby constructing a water barrier wall 2 where the compounding ratio of the water barrier material comprises 250 to 350 kg/m3 of cement, 30 to 6000kg/m3 of asphalt emulsion, 250 to 500kg/m3 of water, 10 to 35kg/m3 of bentonite and 50 to 300kg/m3 of fine aggregates whose particle size is 0.15mm or less. Since the performance of deformation is excellent due to the properties of the material, it is possible to provide excellent yield strength against a plastic breakdown, which enhances the reliability of the water barrier wall, and what is more, to provide strength equivalent to an original ground, which makes it possible to prevent the generation of a continuous consolidation settlement. It is also possible to enhance the properties of water barrier and furthermore, it is possible to construct easily due to the fluidity and a replaceable capacity without using aggregates and high temperature asphalt.
