Abstract:
To obtain a water-based adhesive which develops adhesiveness within a short time and has excellent initial tack.
A water-based adhesive having high initial tack is obtained by using an aqueous emulsion obtained by emulsion-polymerizing vinyl acetate with at least one monomer selected among (meth)acrylic acid, glycidyl (meth) acrylate, (meth)acrylamide, N-methylol(meth)acrylamide, fumaric acid, its ester, maleic acid, its ester and a vinyl ester of a tert. carboxylic acid. The emulsifier used is exemplified by polyvinyl alcohol.
