Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the composition capable of reducing the content of an organic solvent in a coating liquid, excellent in water resistance of coating film, streaming resistance, processability, adhesion, hardness, gloss, etc., and further excellent also in dispersibility of the coating liquid to the pigment, coating property and storage stability.
CONSTITUTION: This composition contains (A) an aqueous acrylic resin consisting essentially of (i) an α,β-ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid, (ii) an aromatic vinyl monomer and (iii) (meth)acrylic amide monomer, (B) a phosphoric acid- based compound and (C) a pigment as essential coating film-forming components. Furthermore, a weight ratio of the components (i) to (iii) in the component A is preferably each 1-25wt.%, 5-50wt.% and 5-5wt.% and a ratio of the components A and B in a resin solid content in total composition is preferably each 25-80wt.% and 0.4-40wt.% and (meth)acrylic acid, etc., styrene or vinyltoluene and N-alkoxymethyl (meth)acrylyl amide are preferably used as the components (i) to (iii), respectively.
