PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition giving a coating film having excellent water-resistance and acid resistance by compounding an amino resin and a non-yellowing polyfunctional blocked isocyanate compound as crosslinking agents to a water-based resin containing polysiloxy group.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) a water-based resin containing polysiloxy group, (B) an amino resin (e.g. methylated melamine resin) and (C) a non-yellowing polyfunctional blocked isocyanate compound. The component A is produced e.g. by copolymerizing an acrylic resin raw material with a trimethylsilyl-terminated polydimethylsilylpropyl methacrylate to obtain an acrylic resin containing polysiloxy group and neutralizing the acidic group of the resin with a basic substance. The component C is preferably an isophorone diisocyanate blocked with methyl ethyl ketoxime.
