To provide a water collecting segment and a water collecting tunnel construction method using the water collecting segment allowing easy construction of a water collecting tunnel while preventing the inflow of water and hardly causing plugging of a segment water-passing part after the construction of the tunnel.
The water collecting segment for constructing the water collecting tunnel T in the ground by a non-open cutting method includes a base body 11, a stone grain layer 10 arranged on the outer surface side of the base body to suppress plugging of a water passing slits 111s of the base body, and a hydrodegradable resin 15 filled in the stone grain layer 10 and the base body 11 to fix the stone grain layer 10 to the base body 11 and to prevent water from flowing to the inside of the base body 11 through the segment 1. A water collecting tunnel precursor T' is constructed by the non-open cutting method (e.g., a shield method) using the water collecting segment 1, and the hydrodegradable resin 15 in the segment 1 of the precursor T' is water-decomposed to obtain the water collecting tunnel T.
