To provide a water collector for an immersion membrane separator which prevents membrane permeate flow rates from becoming uneven during a filtration operation according to the located positions of membrane cartridges, and prevents back washing effects from becoming uneven during a back washing operation according to the located positions of the membrane cartridges.
The water collector is equipped with a water collecting pipe 32 that collects membrane permeate taken out from membrane permeate take-out nozzles 18 of the membrane cartridges 12, and a membrane permeate lead-out pipe 33 that leads out the membrane permeate from the inside of the water collecting pipe 32. A water collecting space 34 is formed in the water collecting pipe 32, and the tip of the membrane permeate lead-out pipe 33 is inserted into the water collecting pipe 32 from one end of the water collecting pipe 32, which forms a double-pipe structure where the tip of the membrane permeate lead-out pipe 33 and the water collecting pipe 32 are coaxially disposed. Communicating openings 35 that communicate with the water collecting space 34 and the inside of the membrane permeate lead-out pipe 33 are formed in the membrane permeate lead-out pipe 33, and are disposed at a plurality of points in the direction of pipe axes 32a, 33a.
