Title:
WATER COLLECTOR FOR ION EXCHANGE RESIN TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5799341
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a water collector free from the leak of resin and capable of collecting and dispersing water uniformly by orderly laminating an upper plate of a perforated material, an intermediate plates having open pores over its whole area and lower plate having open pores over its whole area but smaller pore diameters than that of intermediate plate from the packed layer side of an ion exchange resin.

CONSTITUTION: When a fluid is introduced 3 into a tower 1, reversely flowed in the tower, and the discharged 2, the fluid is dispersed throughout the tower by means of a lower plate 43 having small diameter pores 43A with small pore ratios throughout its whole area, where the fluid is almost uniformly discharged through the pores 43A through the pores 42A of an intermediate plate 42. Then, the fluid reaching an upper plate 41 is again dispersed inside the porous material and directed to the packed layer of an ion exchange resin, during which the flow rate of the fluid is almost equalized throughout the tower. Also, the fluid can be flowed into the tower 1 and discharged 3 while being dispersed uniformly. Also, the mechanical strength and chemical stability of the water collector can be raised, and no dead angle occurs, so that stable operation can be attained.
