Title:
WATER SUPPLY/DISCHARGE CONTROL DEVICE FOR COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3712402
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve economical efficiency by avoiding increase of suplementary water to be supplied in quantity due to drainage of water from a sprinkler and a filling material for a heat exchanger by adding a simple structure.
SOLUTION: Cooling water is circulated over a cooling tower 7 and a refrigerator 8 by a circulation pump 11 to cool the high-temperature cooling water with the evaporating latent heat, and the cooled low-temperature cooling water is supplied to the refrigerator 8. A conductivity meter 19 for measuring quality of water is provided inside a water tank 1, and when conductivity exceeds the set value, water is supplied for make-up from a blowing water make-up pipe 16, and the low-temperature cooling water more than the set water level is discharged from an overflow pipe 14 to substitute the make-up water for the water of deteriorated quality. When stopping operation of the circulation pump 11, a second opening/closing valve 27 is closed with stop of operation to stop draining from the overflow pipe 14. When re-starting operation, after a timer 29 counts the time for stabilizing quantity of the water inside the water tank 1, the second opening/closing valve 27 is opened to drain from the overflow pipe 14.
