Abstract:
To provide a water-cooled crucible for induction fusion designed to have large rate power distribution to a work.
In this water-cooled crucible for induction fusion, a plurality of slits 1 and a plurality of segments 2 wherein cooling water passages 2A are formed are peripherally provided by turns at least in a lengthwise direction at the middle part of a crucible wall. When the inner diameter of the crucible is D1, the inner diameter of the cooling water passages is D2, the cross section of segments is S1 and the cross section of the cooling water passages is S2, the following formulas are satisfied between the above D1 and D2 and between the above S1 and S2: 0.04≤D2/D1≤0.80.25≤S2/S1≤0.8.
