PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooled grate where the grate element constituting a stoker can be replaced easily similarly to a conventional air-cooled grate, and besides which can be manufactured at low cost due to its simple structure, and where high-calorie combustion or combustion rich in oxygen can be performed stably.
SOLUTION: The water-cooled grate is composed of a grate body 2 made of cast metal which is shaped like a box with its bottom open and is equipped with a retainer 2e in the rear, a partition plate 3 which divides the space under the grate body 2 into a cooling water chamber 3 and an air leading-in chamber 8, a feedwater connection pipe 5 which is fixed a little to the rear of the partition plate 3 and supplies cooling water W into the cooling water chamber 4, a drain water connection pipe 6 which discharges the cooling water W within the cooling water chamber 4, with its tip opening positioned at the upper part of the front of the cooling water chamber 4 and with its base end fixed a little to the rear of the partition plate 3, and an air passage 9 which jets the air A for combustion from the air leading-in chamber 8 frontward from the front end face of the grate body 2, being made on the side of the outer face of the sidewall 2 of the grate body 2.
