Abstract:
To provide a water cooler of a wire coil and a binding method of the wire coil which can perform water cooling of the wire coil to a temperature capable of suppressing that a component of a lubricant is deteriorated by heat upon coating of the lubricant while suppressing the occurrence of such a failure that a coil shape of the wire coil collapses upon water-cooling of the wire coil.SOLUTION: A water-cooling device 10 of a wire coil includes a first ejection nozzle 20 and a second ejection nozzle 22 which are opened toward the wire coil 42 made by winding the hot-rolled wire in a coil shape, a feed water pump 24 which feeds water to the first ejection nozzle 20 and the second ejection nozzle 22, a temperature detection part 26 which detects a temperature of the wire coil 42 and a control part 28 which adjusts at least one side of an actuation time and a supply flow rate of the feed water pump 24 based on the temperature of the wire coil 42 detected by the temperature detection part 26 such that the total amount of water ejected from the first ejection nozzle 20 and the second ejection nozzle 22 to the wire coil 42 is a prescribed amount or less and the temperature of the wire coil 42 is lowered to a prescribed temperature or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
