Title:
WATER-COOLING DEVICE FOR MOTORCYCLE ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6187917
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the radiating function by forming an air path which shall lead the wind to ahead the radiator of an engine, by allowing a water atomizing port to be open in this air path, and thereby sucking out the water from this atomizing port with the wind. CONSTITUTION:An engine 3 is placed at the middle bottom of a car frame 2, and a radiator 8 is supported at the facade of this car frame 2. A fairing 9 enclosing the external surfaces of the car frame 2 is provided with an air path 11 which leads the wind to ahead the radiator 8. This air path 11 consists of a through hole 9a, which is open at the facade of said fairing 9, and a duct 9b in connection therewith, and this through hole part 9a is equipped with an opening/closing valve 11. An atomizing port 14 shall be open in this air path 11, being in communication to a water reservoir tank 16 through a water conduit 15. While motorcyle is running, water is atomized out of the port 14 by the wind flowing through the air path 11, which should enhance the function of radiator 8 to get rid of the heat.
