Title:
WATER CUT-OFF STRUCTURE WITHIN ELECTRIC WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3446656
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut off water entering through gaps between inner conductors of an electric wire at an arbitrary position in the wiring route of the electric wire.
SOLUTION: This structure is made up of an insulation displacement terminal 11 having a slot part 11c to accept a required portion of an electric wire W where water is to be cut off and splitting an outer cladding Wb of the electric wire W press fitted in the slot part 11c to expose inner conductors Wa, and a case body 12 for covering the insulation displacement terminal 11 and the required portion of the electric wire W where the outer cladding is split. A seal material is filled within the case body 12, and thus gaps between the inner conductors exposed by the slot part 11c in the insulation displacement terminal 11 are cut off by the seal material 15.
