To provide a water dispersion of spherical polyester resin particles for an adhesive, having excellent initial adhesive strength and water resistance, and also having excellent storage stability.
This water dispersion of the spherical polyester resin particles for the adhesive comprises (I) a water dispersion of the resin particles containing a resin obtained by neutralizing a part or the whole of the carboxy group in a polyester resin (A) having a terminal structure in which a hydrophobic group is bonded to a carboxy group-bonded carbon atom or at least one carbon atom in the carbon atoms present within four atoms from the neighboring carbon atom of the carbon atom, and an ionic group except the carboxy group, and also having 10,000-500,000 weight average molecular weight (Mw) measured by a gel permeation chromatography (GPC) method as an essential component, and (II) a precipitation-preventing agent.
