To provide a water drip dispersion preventing structure for a DC/AC type cooling tower, preventing the dispersion of water drips to the outside of the tower with a simple structure without increasing the flow resistance of air introduced into the tower body.

A water drip dispersion preventing structure is constituted of a fan 2, arranged on the top of a tower body 1, an upper water tank 3, arranged on the upper part of the tower body 1, a lower water tank 8, arranged on the lower part of the tower body 1, water sprayers 4, 41, 42 and fillers 5, 51, 52, which are arranged between the upper water tank 3 and the lower water tank 8. Three stages or more of fillers 5, 51, 52 are superposed and are incorporated into the cooling tower so that the fillers 5, 51, 52 form a stepwise shape wherein whose inside surfaces are projected inwardly toward the inside of the tower body 1 sequentially from the upper stage to the lower stage.
