Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powerful water drop-in-oil type emulsion explosive composition excellent in aging stability.
SOLUTION: In the water drop-in-oil type emulsion explosive composition consisting of a discontinuous phase, a continuous phase, a water drop-in-oil type emulsifier, a specific gravity modifier and aluminium, aluminium coated with a coating agent consisting of a lipophilic substance or a specific inactive substance is added to an emulsion matrix. As the lipophilic substance, microcrystalline wax or paraffin wax is used. As the specific inactive substance, fluorine rubber, aluminium phosphate, oxidized wax, carnauba wax and synthetic wax are used. The coating agent is 1 to 5 wt.% to total weight of the aluminium. The aluminium coated with the coating agent is 3 to 7 wt.% to total weight of the explosive.
