Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the water-drop removing efficiency on the surface of an article by communicating the inner surface of a roller having water-permeability and elasticity with a plurality of partitioned ventilation passages, and by applying the suction force of a blower to a common sliding surface to which these partitioned ventilation passages are open, via a slide valve. CONSTITUTION:A roller 2 journaled by a pair of supporting bodies 1 is abutted on the surface of an article such as a washed vehicle, and is connected to a blower through a hose 1 via a water separator. The roller 2 is formed in a cylindrical shape by an elastic body such as urethane rubber consisting of felt-like substance in which fibers are compressed or a bubbly body, and on its outer circumference, is provided with a large number of grooves 6 extending both in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction, and a large number of small holes 7 directed from the outer circumferential surface toward the inner circumferential surface. It is fitted on a cylinder 9 and is communicated with the inside of the cylinder 9 through communicating holes 10. The inside of the cylinder 9 is partitioned by separators 11 into a plurality of partitioned ventilation passages 14, and the partitioned ventilation passages 14 on the side near to the surface of the article is communicated with a hose 5 via a slide valve 17.
