To provide a water entry preventing structure for a universal joint boot with a shielding member arranged on an inner ring of a ring-shaped supporting member for a mounted member for covering a fitting portion of the boot to the mounted member, thus improving the balancing accuracy of the mounted member, reducing the weight of components around the mounted member and improving the sealing performance.

In the water entry preventing structure for the universal joint boot 60, the inner ring 31 of the ring-shaped supporting member 30 has a straight cylinder portion 81 from which the outer peripheral face of the inner ring 31 is exposed to an outer ring 32 and a gumlike elastic member 33 at a position protruding outward in the axial direction and the shielding member 70 is detachably mounted on the straight cylinder portion 81 of the inner ring 31.
