Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-free high-solids base coat paint from which a coating can be obtained that even at a low film thickness has high hiding power in conjunction with high adhesive strength and high stonechip resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided the water-free high-solids base coat paint having a solid content of at least 35 mass%, and containing (a) 1% to 10 mass% of at least one polyester binder which has an acid number of at least 20 mg KOH/g, (b) 10% to 30 mass% of at least one acrylate binder, (c) 9.5% to 30 mass% of at least one crosslinking agent which is selected from the group consisting_of free isocyanates, blocked isocyanates, and amino resins, (d) 1% to 3 mass% of at least one sulfonic acid catalyst, (e) 1% to 35 mass% of at least one pigment, (f) 30% to 65 mass% of at least one organic solvent, and (g) 0.5% to 47 mass% of at least one auxiliary or additive (based in each case on the total weight of the base coat).SELECTED DRAWING: None
