Abstract:
To provide a water hammer preventing device that can satisfactorily absorb pressure wave generated by water hammering, hardly generating pulsation.
A water hammer preventing device has a cylinder 3 for connecting an opening end part 1 to a pipeline, a piston 4 slidably inserted in the cylinder 3, and a spring body disposed in a space 5 on the opposite side to the opening end part 1 in the cylinder 3 partitioned by the piston 4. In this case, the opening end part 1 is gradually narrowed toward the inside of the cylinder 3 from the pipeline side and sharply enlarged in the cylinder 3.
