To provide a faucet device using a diaphragm valve for preventing the occurrence of water hammer.
The faucet device comprises the diaphragm valve 4 for opening/closing a passage between a primary water supply path to which water having preset water pressure is supplied and a secondary water discharge path to supply/stop the supply of water, a pressure chamber 7 provided behind the diaphragm valve, and a pilot valve for opening/closing the diaphragm valve with the operation of water pressure in the primary water supply path while increasing/reducing the water pressure in the pressure chamber with opening/closing operation corresponding to its operation. It has water flow paths P1, P2 connecting the pressure chamber to the secondary water discharge path and having the pilot valve midways and water pressure change relaxing means 8, 11, 12 for making water gently flow into the pressure chamber to slowly change the water pressure in the pressure chamber. The pilot valve is opened to reduce the water pressure in the pressure chamber and the valve element of the diaphragm valve is moved with the water pressure in the primary water supply path to open the valve, and the pilot valve is closed to increase the water pressure in the pressure chamber and the valve element of the diaphragm valve is moved with the water pressure in the pressure chamber to close the valve.
