This water heater comprises: a water heater body 1 mounted with a water heater base board 11; a kitchen remote controller 2; a bathroom remote controller 3; and communication wiring 4 for connecting these apparatuses. In wiring diagnosis control, diagnosis signals are transmitted to the hot water body 1 and the bathroom remote controller 3 from the kitchen remote controller 2, and the presence/absence of the line disconnection of the communication wiring 4 connected to the individual apparatuses and positions of the line disconnection at the line-disconnection of the apparatuses are detected by receiving response signals of the diagnosis signals. Then, the detection result of the wiring diagnosis control is displayed by a display part 2f of the kitchen remote controller 2 and notified to a contractor, a user or the like.
