Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of preventing a failure that a drain flow rate decreases during a drainage operation after a test operation, and appropriately performing the drainage operation.SOLUTION: A water heater WH includes: hot-water-circulation piping sections 3A and 3B for flowing hot water into or out of water-heating heat exchangers 2A and 2B; a flow regulation valve 4; and drain corks 5A and 5B. For a predetermined period after this water heater WH is turned on for the first time after installation or after time when a predetermined operation or actuation following a test run after the water heater WH is turned on for the first time, valve opening of the flow regulation valve 4 is forcibly kept into a fully open state at least during non-hot water supply operation and the state is kept even if supply of power to this water heater WH is shut off. After passage of the predetermined period, a control for forcibly keeping the flow regulation valve 4 into the fully open state is canceled.
