Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect occurrence of water leakage in a hot water supply passage regardless of an operating condition of a water heater.SOLUTION: Heating sections (14,17) heat water in a hot water supply passage (15) and in a hot water circulation passage (16) simultaneously. A circulation pump (35) circulates water in a hot water circuit (30). A flowing detection section (51) detects a flowing state in which the flow rate of water in the hot water supply passage (15) is a reference flow rate or more. A hot water supply temperature sensor (52) measures a water temperature at an outlet of the hot water supply passage (15), and a circulation water temperature sensor (53) measures a water temperature at an outlet of the hot water circulation passage (16). When the flowing detection section (51) does not detect the flowing state and when the circulation pump (35) and the heating sections (14, 17) are being operated, based on the measurement values obtained by the hot water supply temperature sensor (52) and the circulation water temperature sensor (53), occurrence of water leakage in the hot water supply passage (15) is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
