Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of continuing an operation while minimizing the degree of trouble to users even when a thermister malfunctions.
SOLUTION: This water heater comprises a plurality of temperature detection means and a control means 56 for controlling various types of operations based on the output values of the temperature detection means. If an abnormality occurs in either of an air heat exchanger temperature detection means 51 and an atmospheric temperature detection means 53, the control means 56 estimates the output values of the abnormal temperature detection means 51 or 53 from the output values of the other normal temperature detection means 53 or 51. Also, if an abnormality occurs in either of a supply water temperature detection means 19 and an inflow water temperature detection means 20, the output value of the normal temperature detection means 20 or 19 is substituted for that of the other abnormal temperature detection means 19 or 20.
