Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the falling of droplets by a structure wherein a water injection valve, which is open at the opening corresponding to the temperature in the interior of a low pressure casing, and a valve, which is located on the upstream side of the water injection valve and is fully open when the temperature exceeds a predetermined value, are interposed in a cooling water piping. CONSTITUTION:In the starting and during the low load operation or other, when the temperature in the interior of a low pressure casing rises, a water injection valve 4 is open so as to inject cooling water in spray in order to cool the interior of the low pressure casing. In the device as mentioned above, a valve 11 is interposed midway of a cooling water piping 4a on the upstream side of the water injection valve 4. The output signal 8a of a transducer 8, which outputs a signal proportiolal to the temperature in the interior of the low pressure casing, is sent through an amplifier 5 to the water injection valve 4 in order to put the valve 4 into operation. Furthermore, when the output signal 5b of the amplifier 5 is detected as being exceeded the predetermined level at a detector 10 to detect the output signal 5b, the detector 10 issues an output signal 10a so as to fully open the valve 11 in order to allow to supply the amount of flow corresponding to the opening of the water injection valve 4 to a water injection means.
