Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve engine output without reducing pump efficiency by providing a speed reducer, and to prevent the mounting space, the weight, and the number of part items from increasing with the setting of the speed reducer.
CONSTITUTION: In a water injection propulsion device which has an engine 15 loaded in a boat body; a water injection duct provided at the rear side of the boat body and housing an impeller; and an impeller shaft having the impeller, connected to a crankshaft, and forming a jet inside the water injection duct, being rotated by the crankshaft so as to rotate the impeller; a speed reducer 23 is provided between the crankshaft 26 and the impeller shaft, and the speed reducer 23 is composed integrally with the engine 15.
