Title:
WATER INTAKE STRUCTURE OF WATER JET PROPULSION HIGH-SPEED BOAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3439000
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the intake structure of a simple-structure and low-cost for a water jet propulsion high speed boat to facilitate high speed sailing through the rapid starting of an upper water jet pump even during low speed sailing by a lower water jet pump.
SOLUTION: A water jet propulsion high speed boat is formed in such a manner that the rear ends of an upper duct and a lower duct are respectively opened to a stern and have respective upper and lower water jet ducts, having respective rear end nozzles through which injection is effected. Vertical two- stage structure intakes 6-1N and 6-2N surround front and rear intakes and are protruded from the under surface of a bottom outer board and respective front ends which are wholly opened. The interior of each of the intakes is partitioned into upper and lower intake chambers by a horizontal partition plate 12N. The respective rear ends of the upper and lower intake chambers are communicated with the respective lower end openings of upper and lower water jet ducts 51N and 5-2N.
