PURPOSE: To improve working environment and to perform a high-efficient and high-precise cutting work by providing a cutting device to cut a workpiece in an arbitrary shape and a control part to control movement of a support device and operation of a machining nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: Through expanding and contracting operation of a cylinder 7, the inner side of a workpiece A is supported by means of a pair of expanding and shrinking plates 6 and 6. In this case, damping materials 9 are located between a support beam 4 and the workpiece A and between the expanding and shrinking plates 6 and 6 and the workpiece A, and through utilization of a bolt for a mounting bracket 8, the workpiece A is fixed. Through control of the rotational drive part of the support beam 4, the surface to be machined of the workpiece A is levelled. After the setting of the workpiece A is completed, injection of a water jet through a machining nozzle 3 is started and simultaneously operation of the machining nozzle 3 to cut the surface to be machined of the workpiece A in a shape, e.g. a round, a square. In which case, since a cutting force generated by contact of the water jet is utilized, cutting is practicable with no vibration and with high efficiency.
