PURPOSE: To protect a backing means by judging whether the operation of a backing means is right or wrong on the basis of the rotating speed of a driver for a water jet pump and the operating position of the backing means.
CONSTITUTION: A backing means control panel 2 is provided with an allowable rotating speed judging circuit 13 receiving a detection signal from the rotating speed sensor 10 of a driver 9 so as to judge whether the rotating speed of the driver 9 exceeds the allowable value, a backing means operation propriety judging circuit 13 receiving an output signal from the judging circuit 13 and a detection signal from an operating position detecting sensor 8a for a backing means 7 so as to judge the propriety of operation of the backing means 7, and a backing means actuating-operating circuit 15 receiving a judgment signal from the judging circuit 14 so as to actuate an actuator 8 for driving the backing means 7 according to a command signal corresponding to the operation quantity of a handle 11 only in the case of the judgment signal is right.
