To provide a water paint composition which can exhibit superior antibacterial performance even in portions of lavatory, bathroom, toilet and the like where moisture is much and lighting is insufficient.

The water paint composition contains a synthetic resin emulsion (a), an organosiloxane compound (b) having an amino group and a silver-based antibacterial agent (c), that is the water paint composition which contains 1-100 pts.wt. of the organosiloxane compound (b) and 0.01-5 pts.wt. of the silver-based antibacterial agent, to 100 pts.wt. of the solid content of the synthetic resin emulsion (a).
