Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform measurement even when water permeability is lower than a constant level in a water permeability testing device for soil.SOLUTION: The water permeability testing device is configured of an air-tight water tank of a cylindrical structure in which water for measurement can be accumulated and a sealable opening is provided at a lower end side of this airtight water tank. The airtight water tank thus configured is installed inside a soil side testing hole which accumulates a predetermined amount of water. The opening of the lower end side is caused to function as a constant water level holding pipe and a water feeding pipe of a siphon system, thereby measuring water permeability of object soil from reduction in a water level amount inside the airtight water tank. The airtight water tank is composed of a plurality of cylindrical spaces different in volume of the airtight water tank, and the lower end side of each cylindrical space is provided with an opening to function as the constant water level holding pipe and the water feeding pipe, and any of the plurality of cylindrical spaces different in volume is selected and measured according to the water permeability of the object soil so that the water permeability can be measured by proper measuring time corresponding to the water permeability of the soil to be measured.
