PURPOSE: To make it possible to absorb and collect rain water, etc., quickly by forming water-holes on the surface of each of rectangular blocks, and providing continuously the rectangular blocks having collecting channels communicating to the water-holes under the surface thereof on a road.

CONSTITUTION: A water permeable sidewalk block is constituted of a rectangular block body 2, and proper shaped water-holes 3 of a size capable of quickly absorbing rain water pouring on the surface thereof are formed intermittently on the whole surface. A plurality of collecting channels 4 communicating with the water-holes 3 are recessed upward from the lower surface in the shape of a line under the surface of the block body 2. A plurality of rectangular blocks are so arranged to from a sidewalk that the collecting channels 4 communicate with each other to one side of a road. For example, when execution is made to the side of a water permeable pavement J through a shoulder block A and a boundary block B between footway and roadway, rain pit, etc., running into the collecting channels 4 is collected from a collecting weir to the inside of a culvert and is discharged to a specific place.
