PURPOSE: To test water pressure in a short time where the amount of a pressure fluid is small by holding a base body possible to be carried into a tubular body to the tubular body, forming an inner bore in a seal material, and providing a substrate with a pressuring water feed pipe and an air vent pipe opening to the inner bore, and providing an opening/closing means for the air vent pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A base body 3 is advanced to the testing position in a tube 10. A pressuring water feed pipe 7 and a piping 9 to an operation cylinder 4 communicate to the base body 3. A sealing material 2 having an inner bore 20 is set in the inner face of the tubular body 10. The sealing material 2 is pressed against the inner face of the tubular body 10 by a retainer plate 1 by the action of the cylinder 4. The pressuring water is fed to the inner bore 20 through the feed pipe 7 by a pump outside the tubular body 10. An air vent pipe 8 is opened in the bore 20, which has an electromagnetic valve 8a. When the water fills the inner bore 20 and leaks, it is detected by an optical detecting means and the electromagnetic valve 8a is closed. Since the pressuring fluid fills the inner bore 20, the amount of the testing fluid can be small and the water pressure can be automatically tested quickly.
