PURPOSE: To reduce locations where water-proof work is performed, and to prevent the damage of a lead wire due to bending when adjusting the direction of a shade, by mounting movable portions only at one location, in a water-proof type lighting apparatus that the shade can freely be adjusted and turned in the up-and-down direction.

CONSTITUTION: A through hole 2 is mounted to a center of an upper bottom of am approximate truncated cone shell-like water-proof packing 1, and a collar 12 is formed to an outer circumference of a lower bottom. A joint pipe 3 pierced into the through hole 2, and a collar 4 of the pipe 3 and a cover plate 5 are holding pressurized by means of screws 6 around the through hole 2 of the water-proof packing 1. The water-proof packing 1 is inserted into a mounting hole 8 of a shade 7, and the water-proof packing 1 is stacked to a fixed portion 10 of a lamp holder base 9 in the shade. A male screw portion 11 of a nose of the pipe 3 is pierced into a center of the fixed portion, the collar 12 is held by a collar 13 of the fixed portion and a surrounding portion of the mounting hole 8 of the shade 7, the screws 6 for connecting the pipe 3 and the cover plate 5 are pierced into a long hole 17 a semispherical projecting portion 16 of a mounting flange 15 connected by means of a screw 14 and the pipe 3 and the cover plate 5 are connected to a slide body 18 in the projecting portion 16. A lead wire 20 is passed through the long hole 17 and a lead wire packing 21 in the pipe 3 and introduced into the shade 7.
