Abstract:

To provide a water purification material capable of contributing to activation and growth of microorganisms, and to water purification, and to provide its production method, its using method, and a water purification material mixture.

The water purification material contains at least one kind of silica and alumina as a main component. The material has a porous support with a number of pores, and a bone component supported by the support or calcium phosphate. The material are granular. The frequency peak of the diameter of the pore is preferably set within a range of 0.4-20 μm.
