Abstract:
Disclosed is a water purification device that can be carried easily to a desired place and with which it is possible to obtain delicious water including mineral components while simplifying the construction of the water purification device. This water purification device comprises: a first water purification tank and a second water purification tank provided in a single flow path that is provided inside a portable housing constituted by a box-type body having an opened upper end and a lid provided to the box-type body so as to be openable/closable, the flow path being connected to a tap water supply tube that is attached/detached to/from a faucet via a connection tool, the flow path including first and second flow path switching valves; and a mineral addition tank that is arranged downstream from the second water purification tank and that includes a mineral additive. When regenerating the ion-exchange resin: the first switching valve on the second water purification tank side is switched to close and the second switching valve on a discharge tube side is switched to an open state; and by introducing salt to the first water purification tank or by introducing salt water thereto, the inside of the first water purification tank is brought to a state including regenerating water. After regeneration, by employing the water pressure of tap water, the regenerating water in the first water purification tank is discharged via the discharge tube while feeding tap water into the first water purification tank.
