PURPOSE: To provide a water purifier having a long life by which residual chlorine, trihalomethane, musty odor, metallic odor, etc., are removed efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: The subject water purifier is provided with a water inlet 4 and an outlet 5 and consists of an anode chamber having an anode inside and a cathode chamber having a cathode 12 inside wherein the anode chamber and the cathode chamber are adjacent to each other having an electrolytic diaphragm 9 between them. The anode chamber is filled with a porous adsorbent 15 and a ferrous ion removing high molecular material 16 and water introduced in the anode chamber through the inlet is purified while it passes the part filled with the adsorbent and the ferrous ion removing high molecular material and it comes out of the outlet. The adsorbent and the ferrous ion removing high molecular material of the subject water purifier are reproduced by electrolytic work by electrification between the anode and the cathode.
