To provide a water purifier in which the number of its constituent members is reduced, thereby simplifying the structure and also the assembly work.

This purifier comprises: a water purifier main body 11 that is cylindrically formed; a cylindrical pedestal 12 that has a closed bottom and is joined to the lower end opening of the purifier main body 11 by welding; a cover 15 fitted to the upper end opening of the purifier main body 11; a water supply port 18 and a water delivery port 19, each of which is formed through the peripheral wall of the main body 11 in its lower end part and fixed to the peripheral wall; an elbow 20 the lower end of which is connected to the inner end of the water delivery port 19 and the upper end of which has an expanded diameter to form a bearer 21 is formed; a cylindrical cartridge 22 which has filter cloth 30 placed on its outer periphery in such a way that water is introduced into the cartridge 22 through the whole peripheral surface of it, and the inside of which is packed with a ceramic material 31 and a water- permeable filter 32; and a lower cap 24 which is fitted to the lower part of the cartridge 22 in the central part of which a fitting projection 26 extending downward is formed so that it can be fitted to the bearer 24.
