PURPOSE: To obtain safe and palatable water by providing a passage altering element between a first water purifying tank packed with a cation exchange resin and activated carbon and a second water purifying tank packed with porous hollow yarn membranes and emitting hot water with predetermined temp. or higher from a water emitting orifice without passing the same through the second water purifying tank.
CONSTITUTION: A passage altering element 16 and an impeller type flow rate sensor 8 are provided on the way of the water distributing pipe connecting a first water purifying tank 2 packed with a cation exchange resin 5 and activated carbon 3 and a second water purifying tank 12 packed with porous hollow yarn membranes 12. The output signal of the flow rate sensor 8 is inputted to a display part and a control part 9 to integrate a flow rate to display the life of a water purifier. The passage altering element 16 is constituted of a general-purpose three-way valve and an escape valve being a bypass valve using a coil composed of a shape memory alloy acting at 50°C and hot water with temp. of 50°C or higher is guided to a water emitting orifice without being passed through the second water purifying tank 2 to be emitted.
