Title:
WATER PURIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1190417
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To suppress propagation of a microorganism in a water purifier and supply sanitary clean water by installing a maintenance means to maintain the temperature of the water purifier at a level at which germ propagation is suppressed in the water purifier comprising a water-purifying means constituted of an activated carbon tank, a hollow fiber membrane tank and the likes.

At first, tap water 40 supplied from a tap water pipe faucet is supplied to a water purifying apparatus 3 through a valve 8 installed between water supply pipes 6, 7. The tap water 40 supplied to the water purifying apparatus 3 is passed through an activated carbon tank 9 and a hollow-fiber membrane tank 10 to remove impurities, residual chlorine, breaching powder smell, etc., contained in the tap water 40. This water purifying apparatus is provided with a cooling apparatus 4 as a temperature controlling means and when the tap water pipe faucet is in a closed state, purified clean water 50 is led to the cooling apparatus 4 by opening a valve 11 in the direction toward the cooling apparatus 4. As the cooling means, for example, an electronic cooling apparatus 4 utilizing Peltier effect is employed and germ propagation can be suppressed by cooling the clean water 50.
