Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify water by early removing scum in an oxidation ditch.
SOLUTION: In a water purifying apparatus in an oxidation ditch equipped with the trough 15 arranged in the basin of an oxidation ditch and receiving scum floating on the surface of water by the vertical motion of an integrated or separate weir 20 and a means for discharging water-containing scum from the trough 15, the vertical motion of the weir 20 is performed in connection with the driving of a rotor for supplying air into the water within the oxidation ditch. In this case, the trough 15 is set to a fixed system and the weir 20 capable of being moved vertically is arranged to the front or rear of the trough 15 and moved vertically by the cam rotated through the speed reducer 10 provided to a rotor shaft 8. Further, the weir 20 is hollow.
