PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent member with an extremely excellent water-repellent property.SOLUTION: A water-repellent member includes a base material and a resin layer provided in at least one surface of the base material in which the resin layer has a plurality of columnar protrusions, a cross sectional area of each of the columnar protrusions is 400 π to 2500 π nm, a pitch for forming the columnar protrusions is 90 to 400 nm, a gap between adjacent two columnar protrusions is 50 to 360 nm, and a fluorine atom-containing layer containing a fluorine atom is provided so as to cover the columnar protrusions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
