Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having excellent water repellency and light resistance by adding fluorine resin particles and an ultraviolet absorber to an overprint varnish. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by adding (A) fluorine resin particles and (B) an ultraviolet absorber to an overprint varnish. Preferably 20-120 wt.% of the component A is mixed with 1-20 wt.% of the component B based on the solid content of the objective composition. The volume average particle diameter of the component A is preferably 2-5 μm and especially preferably >=45 wt.% particles of the whole fluororesin particles has 2-4 μm volume average particle diameter. A benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorber such as 2-(5-methyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazole or the like is preferable as the component B. In the case of coating by an offset printing process, the composition except the components A and B is preferably 20-80 wt.% of the resin, 0-80 wt.% of a drying oil, 0-80 wt.% of a solvent and 1-5 wt.% of an additive such as a dryer or the like in the total of 100 wt.%.
