To obtain the subject water-repellent usable without necessitating the heat-treatment at a high temperature and useful for a woven fabric of glass filament for dome roof material, or a rock wool laminate for heat- insulation material for building by including a specific organopolysiloxane as an essential component.
The objective water-repellent contains (A) an organopolysiloxane of the formula (R, R2 and A are each a univalent hydrocarbon group, etc.; R1 is a bivalent hydrocarbon group; (n) is 1-3; (x) and (y) are each 0-1,000), (B) other organopolysiloxane as an optional component, (C) 0.05-10 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A) of a silane coupling agent and (D) 0.05-10 pts.wt. of a condensation reaction catalyst. The water-repellent is used usually in the form of a solution produced by dissolving the repellent in 1-100,000 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A) of an organic solvent or an emulsion by dispersing in 3-30 pts.wt. of an emulsifier.
