Abstract:

To provide a water-resistance-imparting agent for addition to ink, suitably usable for the ink for inkjet recording; and to provide an ink composition.

The water-resistance-imparting agent for addition to the ink contains a low-molecular weight allylamine polymer having ≤5 wt.% ignition residue content and 250-4,000 weight average molecular weight or an addition salt thereof having the properties. The ink composition contains a colorant in combination with the water-resistance-imparting agent.
