Abstract:

To produce an inexpensive water-resistant adhesive for corrugated boards, which shows a good adhesive viscosity stability over time, is extremely suitable for high-speed laminating and allows little deterioration of the water resistance over time during long-term storage.

A water-resistant adhesive for corrugated boards contains a tannin polyhydric phenol compound. Here, the weight ratio of water to starch is from 1.5 to 2.5, and the starch is cornstarch.
