PURPOSE: To shut off fire and gas even at the bottom of formed water screen for dispensing with members such as a support bed, arms, etc., by fixing a water screen nozzle to the side of a tubular body to block the pivoting of said about its own axis and provide a plurality of slits for the water screen in the side of said nozzle.

CONSTITUTION: Female and male joints 34, 32 connected to female and male joints 32, 34 of a hose 30 are mounted on both ends of a tubular body 36. The tubular body 36 is provided on the nearly central side with a boss 38 provided with a female screw 40 into which a male screw 44 of a water screen nozzle 42 is threaded. A support fitting 46 closed an end of a water screen nozzle 42 making contact with the ground to block the pivoting of the tubular body 42 about its own axis when the tubular body 42 is placed directly on the ground. Since a water screen is formed while the water screen nozzle 42 abuts against the ground, any gaps are not generated on the bottom of the water screen. A plurality of slits 48 for the water screen are formed with about 180° slit angle along the circumferential direction on the side of the water screen nozzle 42. The slits 48 for the water screen are provided in the nearly same position with respect to the circumferential direction so that four water screens with 180° expansion are formed in the air.
